Purpose
This private, non-commercial application connects a personal Gmail account to a self-hosted Paperless-ngx document management system. Its purpose is to retrieve emails selected by the account owner using a designated Gmail label and import eligible attachments into a private document archive.
Google user data accessed
Gmail access is authorized by the account owner using Google OAuth. The application may access message metadata, message contents, and attachments as necessary to identify selected emails and import documents. Mail labels may be changed to mark successfully processed messages.
Use and storage
Imported documents and associated metadata are stored in the self-hosted Paperless-ngx installation. OAuth credentials and tokens are retained in its private configuration or application storage to maintain the authorized connection. No Google user data is sold or used for advertising.
Sharing
Access to imported documents and Gmail authorization is restricted to the operator of the private installation. Data is transmitted to Google for Gmail access and may transit the operator's reverse-proxy and infrastructure providers. This integration does not intentionally share Gmail message content with unrelated third parties.
Retention and deletion
Imported documents remain in the archive until deleted by the operator. The Gmail connection can be revoked in the Google Account security settings; archived documents can be deleted separately in Paperless-ngx. Revoking access prevents further authorized retrieval but does not automatically delete previously imported documents.
Security
The installation uses authenticated access and HTTPS for its public endpoint. Access to the underlying service and credentials is restricted by the operator. No security measure eliminates all risk.
Contact
This integration is for personal use only. For inquiries about this integration, contact the application operator through the support address shown on the Google consent screen.
